Based on the results of the 23rd edition of the QS World University Rankings in 2027, Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), with a global rank of **483**, has been listed among the **11 top Iranian universities** included in this ranking system and has consolidated its position as the **second-highest-ranked university of technology and engineering in the country**.
The QS ranking system evaluates universities by analyzing scholarly output indexed in the **Scopus** citation database over a **five-year period**, as well as scientific citations over a **six-year period**. At the global level, the **Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)** has secured the **first position worldwide for the fifteenth consecutive year**; moreover, **Imperial College London** and **Stanford University** are jointly ranked second in this edition of the ranking.
